Doctoral Temporary Limited License Psychologist
I consider it an incredible privilege to have the opportunity to walk alongside my clients as they navigate difficult and painful moments in their journey of life. I know that even in such painful moments, it can still feel like a risk to seek help from a new place. That is why, as a therapist, I strive to provide an experience that honors that risk. An experience where you can show up as your authentic self and work towards personal growth with someone who is attuned to your thoughts, feelings, and needs.
In my approach to therapy, I am integrative, drawing on interpersonal process therapies, emotionally focused, and cognitive behavioral theories. When it comes to change, I believe that belonging leads to becoming. From the time we are children to our oldest years, we are wired to thrive and develop best when we feel secure in the knowledge that we have safe connections with others who are accessible, responsive, and engaged with us. As such, my work centers around building a strong therapeutic relationship where you can trust you will be seen and accepted where you are, while also having a balance of support and challenge to help you grow. From this base of safety, we’ll work to collaboratively explore past wounds and present challenges you face with curiosity and compassion. All to help you move towards greater emotional balance, self-compassion, and fulfilling connections with others.
Currently, I am practicing as a Doctoral Temporary Limited License Psychologist (D-TLLP). I have received both my Master’s Degree and PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis. Throughout the past five years, I have worked with a diverse range of adults and some children in both university counseling and community mental health settings. I have also performed individual and group services for autistic and other neurodiverse clients in school and home settings. In my research, I maintain particular interests in how the broader social, political, and economic systems we live under influence our sense of self-worth and beliefs about success.
