Abraham Eapen, PsyD
Practicing in Grandville
Licensed Psychologist
We all experience difficult moments in our life journey. I am glad you are here to explore those difficult moments and to find a space for personal growth, peace, and internal strength. I perceive therapy as one layer of support, a confidential space you can use for your personal growth. I strongly value the importance of identifying and strengthening skills to manage your symptoms and inner self. I also strongly value the importance of prevention and holistic health. I am hoping that this confidential layer of support can help you navigate various life challenges among or alongside other layers of support such as family, friends, and community.
I received my master’s degree in holistic psychological counseling from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India and my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I have been practicing as a licensed psychologist in Michigan since October 2013. Prior to my graduate program at Wright State University, I worked as a mental health counselor for three years in Kerala, India.
My clinical approach is integrative, incorporating perspectives and strategies from cognitive-behavioral, systems, feminist, and interpersonal frameworks. I am here to provide you with a safe space to explore the symptoms and challenges that affect your ability to have a meaningful life. I am also here to provide emotional support to navigate situations that are not in your control. I believe that together we can move you in directions that are meaningful to you.
