Battering Intervention Program (BIP)
This program is designed for individuals who engage in power and control behaviors within familial or intimate partner relationships. Our BISC-MI (Battering Intervention Services Coalition of Michigan) certified program uses evidenced-based models to address the patterns of abusive behaviors. Utilizing these cognitive and behavioral approaches facilitates having a deeper understanding of the complex trauma histories of program participants, and those they have abused. The curriculum gives a holistic and comprehensive approach to treatment and strives to lower recidivism while enhancing internal motivation, insight, coping skills, and resources to improve the likelihood of healthy relationships so that partners, children, and others are safe.
