It can be hard to be an adolescent girl today. Pressures come from school, friends, parents, siblings and media: Can you perform? Do you look good enough? What do you have to offer? What are you going to be? Are you measuring up? Why did you do that? Etc. The struggle is real.
The true key to navigating theses issues comes from being able to know yourself and accept yourself for who you are. In our girls’ support group, GRTG therapists Monica Willson and Alison Hester guide adolescent girls away from the pressures of the world into the space of self-acceptance.
Girls Growth Group is designed for girls 15-17 interested in seeking support, knowledge, connection, and a space to process relevant challenges in personal, social, family life, and more. Group members are given a chance to share their stories, gain a sense of community, and receive helpful feedback. Co-therapists Alison and Monica work to skillfully provide a safe place for group members to experience growth in an environment of encouragement and acceptance.
